Westgate’s Hoardfast range is the ideal solution for site segregation in hospitals where work or maintenance is being carried out and excellent hygiene practices need to be adhered to.
The unique modular design and simple click-together installation ensures that the Hoardfast product range comes with infection control approval. This is because there is a dust tight tongue and groove connection between all panels.
Floor to ceiling solutions are easily installed into fixed U-channels which then ensure that there are no gaps either at the top or bottom. This prevents any construction or maintenance dust from getting to, and subsequently contaminating, hygienic areas. The actual installation process does not create any mess, unlike other materials, such as timber and plasterboard, because no painting or cutting is required on-site. Hoardfast surfaces are also easily wiped down unlike painted plasterboard.
Westgate’s Hoardfast range has previously been used in many hospitals including University College London Hospital and Liverpool Heart & Chest Hospital so the Westgate team are familiar with the strict requirements of hospital environments which have informed the system design of the range. For example, many of the Hoardfast systems come with a 2.7m panel height as standard which conforms to the normal hospital ceiling height.
Westgate’s Hoardfast hire systems can be delivered and collected from site as required, and each time hire goods are returned from site to Westgate they are cleaned and repackaged before being sent out again. Therefore clients only ever receive clean panels that are ready to use in all types of clean environments. Alternatively, brand new panels can be purchased.
