Fabric partition vs. jumbo stud wall

Jumbo stud walls are often used as partitions within warehouses or other industrial environments to divide large areas. They’re used for the same type of projects that our Flexiwall fabric partition is used for and offer similar features.

However, there are many more benefits of using a fabric partition compared to a jumbo stud wall.

Much quicker installation

Flexiwall is much quicker to install than a jumbo stud wall as there is no requirement to erect multiple studs and panels during installation. Flexiwall is designed and manufactured in single drop fabric panels, which are suspended using the existing steel work. Each panel is then quickly and easily connected to the next using a unique dust tight v-overlap.

No finishing required

Unlike a jumbo stud wall, Flexiwall requires no additional finishing such as filling, sealing and painting. Flexiwall can be manufactured in a range of colours and with printed branding to create an appealing space.

Can be more cost effective

Flexiwall can be a more cost-effective option when compared to a jumbo stud wall, especially in taller buildings. This is because the overall material costs are less with a flexible fabric partition, and as the installation is quicker, disruption and downtime is reduced.

More easily reconfigurable and removable

In the event of future developments, Flexiwall is much easier to remove, reconfigure and relocate than a jumbo stud wall. With this in mind, a flexible fabric partition is also better in leased buildings as it leaves no damage to the existing building.

Less space required to complete the installation

Flexiwall requires less space to complete the installation. This makes it less disruptive in occupied environments than a jumbo stud wall. Additionally, Flexiwall requires less space for delivery and storage of materials and components required to create the wall.

As you can see, there are many benefits to choosing a flexible fabric partition such as Flexiwall, instead of a jumbo stud wall. If you’d like to find out more about our Flexiwall solution contact us at Westgate or see how it’s been used here.
