What we do
Delivering the new standard for tomorrow’s business We are a family run firm with an established heritage in Stafford. Starting in 1977, Derrick Gates set out to supply and install window films for glass. In 1981 we added our unique ‘Envarret Air Barrier’ factory partitioning system (now Flexiwall) to our range. Gerrard joined his father in 1987 along with his brother John in 1988. Edward joined us in 1992. In 2005 we added Hoardfast to our range, distrupting the hoarding industry with a revolutionary plastic system. Since the 2009 global recession we’ve experienced exceptional growth, thanks to the enthusiasm, dedication (and patience!) of the Westgate team. In 2014 we joined forces with Lockmetal and we have set ourselves some impressive sales targets to achieve over the next few years. To keep abreast of this growth we need energetic, enthusiastic team players, such as yourself, to help us move the business forward to the next stage. Therefore, we need you to “hit the ground running”, really get involved, share your expertise and be part of our success. Our focus is on high quality, high value work that makes a difference to our customers. We’re always looking for new creative ideas to make our customers’ lives easier. We strive to provide a stimulating environment in which your work will be enjoyable, challenging and often ground-breaking.

Our recruitment process
The way we recruit our team is designed to allow you to be yourself. We want to know more about your talents, what expertise you can share with us and everything that makes you unique.
From apprentices, to managers through to senior leaders, we’re here to find the very best talent for our team. We want to get to know the real you and in return we’ll be honest about who we are too. Understanding our culture, as well as the detail of the role you’re interested in, makes it even easier to know if Westgate is the right move for you. If you meet our selection criteria we’ll invite you to an initial interview, show you round our premises and products and answer any questions you might have. After that there may be some tests involved, a second interview with the Partners or a short session shadowing the team you have applied to work with. It’s all designed to give you a better insight into our company and the values and culture we work by.
